WHEN she is not travelling around Australia, Toowoomba flight attendant Nikea Coulson turns heads on the catwalk.
She has worked her way up in international beauty pageant Miss World and has the opportunity to represent Australia and take out the top gong - she just needs Toowoomba to get behind her.
After cruising through the first heat in Victoria, the Middle Ridge woman was named a charity ambassador which means she bypasses other preliminary finals and goes straight to the national final if she raises the most money.
Her category is called Beauty with a Purpose and, since it was incorporated into Miss World, millions of dollars have been raised and hours of hard work have been carried out for charities across the globe.
Ms Coulson is raising money for children's charity Variety.
"They work with kids of all varieties who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs. Children are our future and no one likes to see kids struggle or sick," she said.
Her major fundraiser will be a gala fashion parade called Fashions on The Downs - Best Foot Forward on Saturday, June 25.
The afternoon will be a chance for ladies to unwind with a delicious afternoon tea and wine. There will be shopping at many speciality stalls showcasing a number of local businesses, a fashion show and plenty of prizes up for grabs.
