Emergency services have been called to multiple crashes within minutes on Toowoomba streets Saturday afternoon.
Fire and rescue crews were first called to reports a vehicle had crashed into a tree on West St, near the intersection of Stenner St around 4.40pm.
A QFD spokeswoman said the crew used hydraulic cutting gear to remove the back door of the vehicle and free a passenger who remained in the back seat.
It’s understood paramedics have assessed three patients and are transporting them to Toowoomba Hospital.
A second crash, involving two cars, occurred just minutes later on the intersection of James and West St.
The QFD spokeswoman said one person was still inside the vehicle but wasn’t trapped.
Paramedics have been called to the scene.
A young man has spent the night in hospital after a visit to a lookout in the Toowoomba region ended with his vehicle crashing to the bottom of the embankment.
It’s understood the car went over the edge of the lookout on Prince Henry Dr about 7.50pm Friday.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said two crews were sent to the scene with a vertical rescue team deployed to the bottom of an escarpment where the vehicle was found.
It took crews around two hours to perform the rescue with the man safe and being treated by paramedics about 10pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man in his 20s suffered significant arm and facial injuries and was taken to Toowoomba Hospital for further treatment.
