Officers were called to Nexus Drive in Pimpama at about 9.30am on Wednesday, after reports youths were allegedly attempting to break into vehicles in a business car park.

A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said the youths fled the scene in a ute, damaging other vehicles in the process.

NSW police assisted Gold Coast officers by successfully deploying a tyre deflation device on the M1 about 11.25am.
