Wedding goes viral after groomsmen’s wild entrance

A young couple are going viral after their groomsmen pulled off a wild stunt on their big day, with people online saying it’s “what a wedding should be”.

Could this TikTok viral wedding be South Australia’s best?

When it comes to weddings, the bride and groom should be the stars of the show.

But young Adelaide couple Tiana, 24, and Loui Loprete, 25, had other plans – entrusting their groomsmen to put on a performance their wedding guests would never forget.

“We really wanted them to have some significance in the day,” Mrs Loprete said.

Dressed in black suits and shades, the four groomsmen made an unforgettable entrance into the reception, raising a toast to the couple before boogying into the party to Pitbull’s ‘Fireball.”

“We asked them to pick a song and all four of them couldn’t decide so my father-in-law was like what about Fireball?” she said.

“Loui and I came up with this routine for them and they practised it together and it was just perfect.

“It was so funny, everybody loved it.”

The couple’s friend Alyssa Carbone, who owns The Social Cherry, shared a video of the performance to TikTok which has since been viewed over 20 million times.

“We didn’t expect it to go as well as it did but we thought you know what let’s just share it, it’s something fun,” Mrs Loprete said.

TikTok users were obsessed with the entrance with one user commenting that “this is what a wedding should be!!! nothing but good vibes and good people.”

Another user said that “if the boys don’t do this at my wedding, I don’t want them there.”

A true celebration of love, laughter and fun, the couple made their first entrance as Mr and Mrs Loprete to Bob Sinclair’s ‘Rock This Party,’ before ending the night with The Veronica’s ‘Untouched.’

The couple met through mutual friends as teens and have been together ever since, with Mr Loprete proposing at Eos by SkyCity in 2022.

“I didn’t actually think he was going to propose so soon,” the makeup artist said.

“We went into this room (...) and then he opened the door and there was a rose petal path and a beautiful ‘will you marry me?’ sign.

“I was in complete shock, I actually said ‘I think we’re in the wrong room,’ and then it was just tears from there.”

While some people may hold reservations about getting married so young, Mrs Loprete said marrying her soulmate last December was a no-brainer.

“I think the odds were definitely against us being so young,” she said.

“We are just so grateful to share such a beautiful relationship.

“We both have really beautiful families, we have the same values in life and our relationship has just grown stronger and stronger as the years have gone by and its been amazing.”

The Lopretes are finalists in the search for SA’s best wedding for the season.

Public voting is now open and will close on Wednesday, May 7 at 8am.
