Can Mitchell and Paige’s perfect day take the crown?

After meeting at a house party in 2018, Mitchell and Paige agreed that they “did not want anything serious”.

But now seven years down the track, the pair are more in love than ever before and said ‘I do’ in an autumn wedding.

“It was very much us, very simple and more a party and excuse to dance and have a few drinks with friends,” Paige said.

The celebration was “everything (they) wanted” other than the scorching 38 degree weather.

“The day goes so quick,” the bride said.

“Even though we were present (it) doesn’t seem long enough or like we were able to speak/dance with everyone … FOMO at our own wedding.”

After a short ceremony, guests were able to enjoy a delicious grazing platter before a full cocktail menu complete with arancini, sliders and sausage rolls.

The newlyweds decided to go without the usual traditions and formalities and made sure most of the night was dedicated to dancing.

A DJ provided by Entertainment Adelaide helped make this happen with the couple sharing their first dance to Flip A Coin by Dylan Gossett.

“We only started practising a few nights before the big day and kept stuffing up and laughing, so (we kind of) just winged it and didn’t take it seriously – but it all worked out,” Paige said.

“Seeing Mitch slow dance with his grandma (was also a highlight).”

Mitch proposed on the day that the couple adopted their second furbaby Teddy.

The sparky-by-day used a cable tie to attach the ring to the adorable puppy and got down on one knee with their other dog, Indi by his side.

“Of course (I) said yes with tears of happiness and surprise,” Paige said.

They headed north for their honeymoon visiting Cairns, Port Douglas, Airlie Beach and Heyman Island.
