Thieves caught on camera stealing Salisbury Christmas lights display

A Christmas-stealing thief has been caught on video stealing lights and displays from a front yard in Adelaide’s north. Watch the full video.

A northern suburbs community group is outraged after footage was posted showing someone brazenly stealing Christmas lights from a front yard display.

The videos posted to Facebook on Thursday show a figure creeping up to a solar-powered Santa’s sleigh and reindeer on display at a Salisbury home about 3:40am, before pulling stakes out of the ground and picking up the lights.

As the figure does their shady work, someone else walks past, and once the lights are bundled together, a car drives past the house and the figure makes their getaway.

The video was posted with the caption ‘she’s stealing our Christmas decorations’ and a call for help.

Other users reached out in support and in outrage of the brazen theft.

Angela commented “Top peeps these dudes. Look on marketplace.”

Marlon wrote “Disgusting. Ruining Christmas for everyone. Especially for the people with good intentions of bringing the Christmas spirit to their neighbourhoods by decorating their homes & gardens with Christmas decorations.

“Not only for the time it takes, but also at a considerable cost.”

Kassie commented the actions of the thief were “low” and she’d previously had bad experiences with a “Grinch” cutting and stealing lights from her property.
