A trip to the airport has turned into a trip to the emergency room for a rideshare passenger after a crash on Sir Donald Bradman Dr.
Police allege the driver ran a red light before being hit by a truck, leaving his passenger hospitalised.
About 4am on Friday 16 February, police were called to the intersection of Sir Donald Bradman Drive and Marion Rd, Cowandilla, after reports of a crash.
Police allege a Haval SUV ran a red light and was hit by a truck going through the intersection and also hit a light pole.
The 47-year-old rideshare driver was not injured, but was issued with an expiation notice for failing to stop at a red light.
His passenger, a 46-year-old overseas visitor, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
The 56-year-old truck driver was not injured.
The Haval was towed from the scene.
