Police storm home in Adelaide’s inner-southern suburbs in mystery AFP investigation
A large police presence has descended on a house rented by a businessman in a prestigious inner-southern suburb.
A mysterious large police presence has descended on a house in one of Adelaide’s wealthiest inner-southern suburbs.
Multiple police officers have been on the scene at Millswood over a number of hours on Tuesday morning in what The Advertiser understands is an Australian Federal Police investigation.
Officers wore gloves, carried black briefcases and took photos of the house, while a police dog was also present at the scene.
The house is understood to be rented by a businessman.
The Australian Federal Police confirmed it was undertaking operational activity and a spokesperson said there was “no current or impending threat to the community or public safety”.
“The investigation is ongoing and further information will be provided at an appropriate time,” the spokesperson said.
A neighbour, 91, said the house was often vacant and she had never spoken to the occupants, which was “very unusual” for the neighbourhood.
“I can’t work out who lives there and when they live there,” she said.
“The lights aren’t on at night a lot.”
