A man has died after a crash on a private property in the state’s Mid Murray region involving a quad bike.

The alarm was raised just before 8am after reports a Polaris – a type of all-terrain vehicle – had rolled over at a property on Collins Rd at Tungkillo, about 60km east of Adelaide.

The rider, a 52-year-old man from Woodside, sustained serious injuries in the crash and died at the scene.

A few hours later, a SafeWork SA spokesman confirmed it been notified that a man had died while using a quad bike on the property.

It comes after a 77-year-old man died in the South-East in September after two ATVs crashed.
