Two people have been killed in a horrific crash at Magdala on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to Owen Rd after reports of a truck collided with a Toyota ute before hitting a Stobie pole and bringing down power lines, just after 2pm.
The two occupants of the ute – a 67-year-old man and 63-year-old woman from the region – died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 65-year-old Smithfield man, was not injured in the crash.
Owen Rd was closed between Roennfeldt and Magdala roads until Saturday 12.30am.
Major Crash Officers are investigating the fatal crash and ask anyone that may assist investigators is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
The deaths are the 35th and 36th lives lost on SA roads this year.
