Man, 56, died following horrific truck rollover in Burra, in SA’s Mid North

A man has died north of Adelaide after he was involved in a catastrophic truck rollover on Friday morning.

An Adelaide man has died following a horrific truck rollover at Porter Lagoon, near Burra, in the state’s Mid North on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to Barrier Hwy, 18km south of Burra, about 6.20am.

The driver of the Hino truck, a 56-year-old man from Paralowie, died at the scene.

Major Crash Investigators have closed the Barrier Hwy – between Black Springs and Hanson – while they examine the scene.

The man’s death is the 16th life lost on SA roads this year.

This comes after a 65-year-old man sustained serious injuries after smashing into a Stobie pole in Whites Valley on Friday morning.

The man’s injuries are considered life threatening.
