A member of the public has stepped in and tracked an alleged hit-run driver who fled the scene after hitting a parked car.

A member of the public has stepped in and tracked an alleged hit-run driver who fled the scene after hitting a parked car.
At 12.20am on Sunday, SA Police were called to a two-car crash on Barnet Rd in Evanston, in Adelaide’s north.
Police will allege a white Holden VX was travelling north on Barnet Rd when it crossed to the wrong side of the road, hitting a parked black Honda CRV.
The driver of the Holden, a 37-year-old man from Wasleys, left the scene of the crash, but a member of the public managed to track him and advise patrols of his whereabouts.
Police were quickly on the scene and arrested the man on Warhurst St.
He was breath tested but failed to comply with directions.
He was charged with driving without due care, leaving the scene of a crash and failing to comply with a breath analysis.
He was issued a 12-month lost off licence, his car was towed from the scene and he was granted police bail to appear in court at a later date.
