The silver Kia was tracking at extreme speeds across the Eyre Peninsula and through the Mid North of the State while being actively tracked.

PolAir were deployed as officers on the ground attempted to spike the vehicle’s tyres multiple times as it headed towards the Adelaide area.

The stolen vehicle was located on Lysander Pl in Salisbury East about midday, and the two occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot.

The man was taken to hospital for assessment.

SAPOL report that no officers were injured during the arrest, nor were shots fired by any officers.

The 31-year-old and a 20-year-old woman were arrested and are expected to be charged after being interviewed by police.

Investigations are continuing and Police are requesting anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or on their website.
