FAIRHOLME College has been named the top school in the Toowoomba region for 2018, based on OP results.
New analysis of OP data by News Corp Australia revealed the girls school had grabbed the top spot off Toowoomba Grammar School which has topped the list for several years, but has now moved to third place.

Seven students at the college received an OP1, while 27 students received between an OP 1 to 5, 32.13 per cent of the OP eligible students.
It was the school's best result in about 20 years.
"We remember at such a time that these results are representative of this cohort's commitment, collective effort and sheer hard work," principal Dr Linda Evans wrote about the 2018 cohort last year.
"Further, they reflect the strong educational and pastoral support provided by academic and boarding staff during this pivotal year of learning, as well as all the years preceding.
"This is a group of girls of whom we are most proud."
Overall the school ranked 45th in Queensland, based on the percentage of OP recipients that achieved between a one and a five.
The overall Queensland rankings did not include schools that had a Year 12 cohort of fewer than 10 students.
Darling Downs Christian School was the second highest ranked in Toowoomba with 28.57 per cent, followed by Toowoomba Grammar School with 27.74 per cent of OP recipients achieving between a one and five.

They were followed by the Glennie School, with 25.61 per cent achieving between a one and five, and Centenary Heights State High School, at 23.44 per cent.
Downlands College was the sixth highest rated school in the Toowoomba, with 23.16 per cent achieving between a one and a five.
