A truck driver has been hospitalised after a rollover on a major southern Queensland highway.
The truck driver was travelling along the Newell Highway at Boggabilla, south of the Queensland border, shortly after 8pm on Wednesday before he rolled his truck to avoid a collision.
The stable male patient with a head injury was transported to Goondiwindi Hospital after what a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson described as a “truck and pig incident”.
The spokesperson said they believed the driver had swerved to “avoid a big pig and rolled his truck” on the highway.
