The first-ever Whitsunday Job Fair is set for October 14, helping locals find employers and businesses find recruits in the region’s rapidly evolving job market.

The Whitsunday region has to be one of the most unique places in the world for job seekers — you can work as a skydiving instructor over crystal blue beaches, 200 metres below ground along a coal seam, and everything in between.
Helping high-schoolers and job seekers make sense of what’s out there is the Whitsunday Job Fair, on October 14.
Businesses attending include Hamilton Island, Tassal, Queensland Police, Bowen Gumlu Growers Association, the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, Mackay Hospital Region (Proserpine Hospital), Whitsunday Regional Council, Woolworths and more.
The Whitsunday Chamber of Commerce and Industry says attendees should come prepared with their resume prepared for on-the-spot interviews with employers who are looking to fill positions from entry-level to specialist.
