Vicious brawl erupts outside Bowen's Centre Point Plaza

Emotions boiled over in the Bowen Centre Point Plaza carpark on the eve of the Christmas long weekend, with three people involved in a violent street fight in front of stunned onlookers.

The brawl started at about 5pm Friday, with Christmas shoppers and young children witnessing the violent interaction.

The brawl began with two women fronting each other before punches were thrown.

A third person removed a Santa hat and put it in a shopping trolley before joining in as the fight progressed.

One of the brawlers used kickboxing-style moves against another, inflicting knee strikes as both the women held each other’s hair.

One of the women yelled “let go of me now,” before the violence escalated.

A male bystander approached the chaos and attempted to calm the situation and telling them to stop, as others watched on.

Another person began to approach the group, with the fight ending and all involved heading off in different directions soon after.

A Queensland police spokesman said no report had been made over the incident.
