A late-night visit to a kindergarten’s play area has ended with a court date instead of a play date.
A 47-year-old Bowen woman was charged with entering premises and committing an indictable offence after she allegedly stole items including a wheelbarrow, rake, shovel, safety mats, a hammock and a double-seat bike from the Williams St kindergarten.
Between 1am and 6.25am on February 22, she allegedly entered Bowen and District Child Care Association through one of the closed doors, then took items from an internal storeroom as well as from outside the building at the back of the property.
The woman appeared in Bowen Magistrates Court on February 28, and will reappear on March 15 on a single charge of enter premises and commit an indictable offence.
