Joshua Beau Hansen sentenced over Wilson Beach burglaries

A burglar causing havoc in Wilson Beach earlier this week will serve a minimum of 35 days in jail for his crimes.
Bowen man Joshua Beau Hansen pleading guilty on Thursday to multiple charges including property offences targeting Wilson Beach residents.
The 30 year old faced Bowen Magistrates Court after his arrest on Conway Rd on June 29, when police responded to reports of a “drug affected” man breaking into houses and stealing a car.
Police used a taser during the arrest which involved Hansen kicking a police office in the face.
Magistrate Ron Muirhead recorded convictions against Hansen for driving while under the influence, contravening a police direction, wilful damage, enter dwelling with intent, obstruct police, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts of serious assault.
He sentenced Hansen to four months jail, with parole release on August 5.
Hansen was also ordered to pay a $750 fine, and was disqualified from driving for nine months.
