As police made their way to the scene, Hansen allegedly stole a car which had been parked in the driveway of a house.
Police found the vehicle parked in the middle of Conway Rd, with Hansen allegedly in the driver’s seat.
He allegedly struggled with police after they removed the keys from the ignition and advised him he was under arrest.
A taser was deployed to restrain Hansen after he allegedly kicked one of the arresting officers in the face.
Hansen appeared at Proserpine Magistrates Court on Wednesday, where the charges were adjourned for mention at Bowen on Thursday, June 1.
