More than 3000 cups of coffee and 300 hot chooks have been delivered by Wing drones in the past year.
The business is so popular in Logan suburbs of Crestmead and Marsden, the company is now expanding to Berrinba.
From March to May this year, customers ordered five times more than the previous three month period, with COVID-19 attributed to the company’s kick off.
Wing Head of Australian Operations Terrance Bouldin-Johnson said the business was still in early days regarding expansion to Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
“We are looking at a variety of different areas in Logan and outside the Logan area but the way the communities have taken us in with open arms has been really meaningful,” he said.

He said during COVID, toilet paper was also a regular item to be delivered, along with four-outlet power boards for people working remotely.

Extraction Artisan Coffee is one of nine local companies using the service, saying they were able to keep baristas in work during COVID-19.

Research from AlphaBeta suggests that by 2030, drone delivery in Queensland could grow retail sales by $400 to 450 million of which $150 million could accrue to small businesses.
