Soaring humidity is adding to the extreme heatwave affecting a vast portion of Queensland, as temperatures are again set to climb well into the 40s in places, and there’s no respite for the weekend.

Parts of Queensland are in the early grips of a “severe heatwave”, with the mercury set to soar to the mid-40s, while widespread parts are on alert for thunderstorms across the week.
Temperatures in parts of Queensland are expected to soar as high as 43C while SEQ could be hit with isolated storms following Friday’s incredible gustnado that swept through Brisbane.
