Ms Goldie told Judge John Allen KC that Mr Abbas was yet to be indicted on a Toowoomba Supreme Court matter, but there would likely be a plea on several charges.

“Ultimately, if we can resolve these District Court matters, the intention is to send them up to the Supreme Court so he can be sentenced for them together,” Ms Goldie said.

Mr Abbas will return to court on December 14.

One of Mr Abbas’ co-accused Nicholas David Crouch, will also return to court this week.

Together, the two men face more than 100 charges, with Mr Crouch being banned from Warwick by the magistrate as part of his bail conditions, barring legal appointments in February of this year.

Mr Crouch is understood to be charged with dozens of property and drug offences, including burglary, arson, break and enter, unlawful use of motor vehicle and stealing, receiving tainted property as well as possessing and producing dangerous drugs.

Mr Crouch will return to court on Friday, November 17.
