POLICE allegedly seized $3100 cash from a woman and charged her with multiple drug offences after the vehicle she was travelling in was pulled over on the New England Highway.

Wallangarra Police Sergeant Alan Baker said the 32-year-old woman was charged with possessing a dangerous drug, drug utensils, tainted property and things used in the commission of an offence.

Police will allege the woman was in possession of half a gram of ice.

A man was driving the vehicle when it was stopped by police on Wednesday and he was also charged with driving under the influence of a dangerous drug.

Both the man and woman were from Inverell and will appear at Stanthorpe Magistrates Court in August.
