Two cars collide at busy Warwick intersection

Police say the crash came only hours before another driver ‘hit a car and ran away’ in a Warwick car park.

Emergency services have dealt with two crashes in the Warwick CBD in less than 12 hours, with both collisions reportedly still under investigation.

The first incident came after two cars crashed at the corner of Cleary and Dragon Streets at 10.45am on Wednesday.

The two drivers, a 32-year-old Warwick man and 62-year-old Warwick woman, were uninjured in the crash and did not require treatment.

Warwick police Senior Constable Gavin McLucas said police were still investigating the cause of the crash.

Another car was reportedly damaged in a “hit and run” incident in a Warwick car park only a few hours later.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said a PoliceLink report was filed at 8pm on Wednesday claiming a driver discovered “someone hit (their) car and ran away”, leaving minor damage to the vehicle.

Warwick police are continuing to investigate the complaint.
