Full list of names: Arrest warrants released for Toowoomba court no-shows

UPDATED: Toowoomba police have been handed a stack of arrest warrants after a number of people failed to show up to court.

A Toowoomba magistrate has released a number of arrest warrants under the Bail Act after numerous alleged offenders failed to show up to court.

Darling Downs police will now be on the look-out for the alleged law-breakers so they can be brought before the Toowoomba court and provide an update on their cases.

Arrest warrants were issued for the following Darling Downs residents for allegedly breaching the conditions of their bail undertakings by failing to appear at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 9, and Thursday, July 10.

Note: All of the persons are innocent until proven guilty.


Benjamin Samuel Kellerman

A Bail Act warrant was released for Mr Kellerman’s arrest after he failed to appear at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 10.

He had seven charges mentioned before court which included the unlawful use of a car, possessing drugs, possessing a knife in public, and possessing a detachable ammunition magazine.

No plea has been entered or indicated.

Emmanuel Yousif Amreis

Mr Amreis failed to appear at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 9, on two charges of assault occasioning bodily harm while armed and in the company of others.

Magistrate Mark Howden released a Bail Act warrant for his arrest.
No plea has been entered or indicated.

Kaya Tahumata Anaru Apiata

A warrant for Mr Apiata’s arrest was also issued after she failed to show up to court on Wednesday.

Police charged her with four offences, which included two counts of stealing, and driving unlicensed. No plea has been entered or indicated.

Sharna McAvan

Ms McAvan failed to appear at court when her 14 charges were mentioned before a Toowoomba magistrate on Wednesday.

Her charges were four breaches of bail and five charges of failing to appear at court.

She has also been charged with the assault of a person over 60, common assault, and unlawfully attempting to enter a home. No plea has been entered or indicated.
