A number of the region's finest bakehouses have been nominated to go into the running to be crowned the best of them all.

There’s nothing like encountering the smell of freshly baked goods to help kickstart your day, and with a number of hardworking bakers in the Southern Downs the options are endless.

Behind those fresh loaves of bread or sweet treats is dedicated team who spend the early hours preparing these delights for the region to get their hands on.

In 2021, Westside Hotbread was crowned Warwick’s best with the bakery most in demand for its variety of loaves baked on ‘Sourdough Sundays’.

We’ve brought the competition back in 2024 to find out who the region considers the current baking champion.

Voting is now open for the community to crown who out of their nominations is the Southern Downs’ best, with the poll set to close at midnight on Sunday, October 20.
