Police reveal official cause of sudden death in Warwick

Warwick police have revealed the official cause of a woman’s sudden death in her home earlier this week.

The cause of a woman’s sudden death in Warwick earlier this week has been revealed at the end of police inquiries.

Officers were called to a Rose Street home just after 8.30am Monday where a woman was found deceased.

It didn’t take emergency services long to clear the scene on Monday, with all but one police unit finished up at the woman’s home by about 10am.

Warwick Police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Jamie Deacon confirmed the death was non-suspicious, with the 74-year-old Warwick woman dying of natural causes in the days prior.

Sergeant Deacon said the woman’s body was found by a neighbour or nearby resident and her family were contacted soon afterwards.

The sudden death was initially the subject of police inquiries, which wrapped up earlier this week with no evidence to indicate it was suspicious.

Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this time.
