Warwick man ‘attacked with knife’, alleged offender flees in stolen car
Police claim the man was armed with a knife when he broke into the elderly man’s home, then fled the scene in a stolen 4WD and led officers on a car chase through Killarney.

A man who allegedly broke into a Warwick home and “attacked” one of its elderly residents with a knife before stealing a car and fleeing towards the NSW border has been taken into custody.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the man allegedly entered a home while armed on Mt Tabor Road near Warwick at about 1.30pm on Saturday.
“The man has gotten into the house and the residents have had some small wrestle with him, but the man had a knife,” the spokeswoman said.
Police allege the man then stole a Mitsubishi Triton from the house and used it to flee the scene.
The QPS spokeswoman said the man led police on a short car pursuit before he was apprehended and taken into custody in Killarney.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
A man in his 70s who lived at the Mt Tabor Road home was transported in a stable condition with a facial injury to Warwick Hospital.
