500+ tests, more than a dozen charged following Warwick weekend operation sting

More than 500 breath tests were completed at the weekend, resulting in dozens of charges after police conducted a snap traffic operation on our roads.

More than a dozen drivers have been snagged in a snap operation on our streets at the weekend, with police keen to prevent tragedy on our region’s roads.

In Warwick at the weekend, more than 500 random breath tests were completed, as our region’s police were out in force.

Notably, more than a dozen were allegedly busted and charged and will likely face court in the coming weeks.

Seven motorists were allegedly busted boozed up behind the wheel, and 12 drivers was nabbed by police driving allegedly with drugs in their system, local police said.

Warwick acting officer-in-charge Shane Reid said punters were well-behaved and no major crime incidents occurred during Warwick’s rodeo weekend.
