Man identified following fatal rollover at Gore, west of Warwick

A 29-year-old Applethorpe man who was tragically killed in a ute rollover west of Warwick can be identified as tributes pour in from his family and the community.
Chris Townsend can be identified as the man who was tragically killed in a rollover at 5.30pm Monday.
It is understood he was travelling west on the Cunningham Highway at Gore when his 2010 Triton left the road.
Mr Townsend was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene.
The man’s sister, Nicole Townsend, took to Facebook on Tuesday morning, confirming the sad passing and writing, “rest easy brother, I love you so much”.
Friends and family were quick to show their support, commenting “sending all my love, he was truly a great bloke,” and “thinking of you”.
Another family sibling Craig Townsend wrote, “best brother a bloke could ask for. Still can’t really process it.”
According to the latest data from the Department of Main Roads and Transport 31 per cent of those fatal crashes involved a motorcyclist, while a further 32 per cent of lives lost were young people aged 16-24.
Warwick police confirmed on Tuesday that the Forensic Crash Unit were continuing their investigations and are appealing to the public to locate any footage motorists might have captured.
