Andrew Frank Fuller, Samuel James Fuller, and Enesia Anne Arnold face multiple charges relating to alleged horse theft at Swanfels

A trio of alleged horse thieves have appeared in court, with police will alleging the group nabbed a large number of horses from a property in the Southern Downs last year.

Three alleged horse thieves have faced court on their first appearance in Warwick after their matters were moved from Toowoomba.

The trio, Andrew Frank Fuller, Samuel James Fuller, and Enesia Anne Arnold, are accused of multiple offences relating to the alleged theft of multiple horses at a property in Swanfels, in the Southern Downs.

Andrew Frank Fuller, 31, faces a total of 22 charges of stealing animals which are stock with Enesia Anne Arnold is also facing a total of 22 charges of stealing animals which are stock.

However, Samuel James Fuller is facing a plethora of charges, including one charge each of fraud, producing movement record, registrable biosecurity entity must apply for registration, and 22 charges of stealing animals which are stock.

It is understood the trio will have their matters heard as co-offenders, and the alleged offenders are yet to enter any plea.

Following a muster by the owner of the property, it was discovered 20 horses in total were missing from the property and the matter was reported to police.

Police allege the horses were stolen from the Southern Downs property at Swanfels in June 2022.

Defence lawyer Sarah Campbell, acting as an agent on behalf of Samuel Fuller, told the magistrate that negotiations would take place with the prosecutor with respect to a committal hearing.

The group had their bail enlarged and the matter will return to court in Warwick on November 27.
