Two major highways at a crawl after small crashes
Major highways and motorways north and south of Brisbane were at a crawl as the Friday afternoon exodus took hold.

Traffic on major Brisbane motorways had eased by 7.30pm on Friday after an afternoon of headaches for motorists.
Two major highways in southeast Queensland had been at a crawl earlier, with a number of crashes and roadworks stalling the Friday afternoon commute.
A non-serious crash on the Pacific Motorway at Underwood in Logan had delays stretching right back to Coomera on the Gold Coast.
To make matter worse, a breakdown at Eight Miles Plains was adding to lengthy delays.

A crash on the Bruce Highway north of Brisbane was causing heavy congestion from Murrumba Downs to Banyo.

Lindum rail crossing on Brisbane’s bayside is also shut after a fatal accident.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
And a non-serious multi-vehicle crash on the Centenary Highway at Jindalee was causing long delays, with traffic banked up back to Toowong.
The road had been cleared but residual delays were expected.
