Two feared dead after SUV crashes, ends up in creek
Two people have died and a woman has been seriously injured after a vehicle crashed into a creek near the NSW-Queensland border, with friends making the gruesome discovery.

A man and a woman aged in their 20s have died and another woman has been seriously injured after a SUV crashed into a creek near the NSW-Queensland border.
Emergency services were called to Carwal Creek Bridge, south of Mungindi which is a border town south of St George, after a car left Morialta Road just after 1.15am Sunday, crashing down an embank and landing in the creek.
The vehicle become submerged, trapping three people.
NSW Police said friends travelling in another car noticed the SUV was not near them and back-tracked, coming across the crash scene.
A local property owner helped a 23-year-old woman out of the submerged SUV but was unable to release the other occupants.
The woman was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
New South Wales Police confirmed the bodies of a man and a woman, both aged in their 20s, were recovered about noon. They were yet to be formally identified Sunday night.
It comes after New England Police District officers, NSW Ambulance and Mungindi RFS responded to the scene, with police divers and crash investigators later called in.
