TOLLS were waived in the Clem Jones Tunnel southbound this evening after a burst water main closed Ann St, Fortitude Valley.
The Clem7 was free of charge until 7pm to ease inner-city delays.
The incident happened near Montpelier Rd and Skyring Terrace about 3.30pm.
Two lanes had reopened by about 7pm, while another two remained closed as work continued.
Urban Utilities spokeswoman Michelle Cull said: “As soon as we became aware of the burst, we dispatched a crew to turn off the water and isolate the pipe.
“Our crews will work through the night to repair the pipe and restore the road.”

No properties are without water due to the burst main.

The tree fell on to Sandgate Rd at Ascot, between Butler and Lapraik streets.
The tree has been cleared from the inbound lanes, which reopened at 8.55am.
