Teenager taken to hospital in critical condition after car smashes into tree at Blackwall Rd, Chuwar

A teenage male is in a critical condition with potentially life-threatening injuries, with a second teen also injured, after a car smashed into a tree west of Brisbane.

A teenage male is in a critical condition with potentially life-threatening injuries after a car smashed into a tree at Ipswich on Wednesday night.

Emergency services were called to the crash at Blackwall Rd, Chuwar, at 10.17pm.

According to QAS, a teenage male who was initially entrapped in the vehicle before being extricated from the wreck received potentially life-threatening pelvic and leg injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

A second teenage male with abdominal pain was taken to the Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.

Police investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
