Woombye crash: Grieving brother pays tribute to dead Buderim teenager

The grieving brother of a much-loved Sunshine Coast teenager who died in a tragic crash has opened up on his family’s heartache after his untimely death this week.

The grieving brother of a teenager killed in a Woombye crash has spoken about his brother’s kind and caring nature in a touching tribute.

Hayden Webb, 19, was riding a motorbike when a crash with a car occurred at the intersection of Diddillibah and Nambour Connection roads on Tuesday, March 21.

Emergency services rushed to the collision about 8am but tragically Hayden died at the scene.

Hayden’s brother Scott Webb said there were too many cherished memories of Hayden to pick a favourite.

He said the 19-year-old was “the kindest, most caring person” who would do anything for anyone.

“Hayden is going to be missed beyond words,” Mr Webb said.

“He’s left an empty spot in everyone’s hearts.

“The world’s not gonna (sic) be the same without his contagious smile here.”

The Buderim teen, who grew up on the Sunshine Coast and attended Currimundi State School and Kawana Waters State College, was described by his oldest brother as someone who kept “the whole family on our toes” every second of the day.

“He’d do anything for anyone,” Mr Webb said.

“He lived life to the fullest every day, there was never a dull moment with him around.

“He was one of a kind, his beautiful soul will be forever missed by so many people.”

Tributes have flowed for the dead teen online.

One commenter remarked “fly high Haddo, gonna miss you mate” while another commenter stated her heart was “heavy” following the news and that she had only seen him a few weeks earlier on a video call and it “blew her mind” how he had grown into a handsome young man.

Many others commenters sent condolences to the family.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations into the incident are ongoing.
