Shocking footage of a young boy surfing down a road while being towed by a bike past a Maccas has emerged online.

The video was posted to a Sunshine Coast Instagram story this morning, Monday, May 27.

The footage shows a young, blonde, school aged boy standing on a surfboard while holding a rope and being towed down the busy road by a man riding a bike.

In the video he’s being towed down David Low Way at Coolum, past Maccas, on the corner near the roundabout.

The footage was shot at night time.

Queensland Police were not aware of the video and were unable to comment.

This incident follows other videos being released online showing people taking part in dangerous acts on Sunshine Coast roads.

Last week outrageous footage went viral of four men riding on the same motorcycle close to a major police station.

Last month footage captured the moment a young Sunshine Coast learner driver swerved to avoid an oncoming car which was speeding towards her in the incorrect lane.
