In the second incident in as many days, emergency crews rushed to the Sunshine Coast hinterland to find a lost hiker.
Emergency crews were called to Mt Beerwah in the Glass House Mountains this afternoon, February 11, after reports a man in his 40s became lost while climbing the popular peak.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said four crews were called to the mountain about 3.45pm and technical rescue crews made contact with the hiker and started a rescue plan.
She said by 4.50pm they had met the hiker and were descending with them.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said there were no injuries reported and the hiker was walking down with rescuers.
The latest incident comes after another hiker was rescued by emergency crews after suffering a medical episode on another popular peak yesterday morning.
Emergency crews were called to reports of a hiker needing rescue from the Ngungun Summit Trk at Glass House Mountains on Monday morning.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said they were called to reports of a hiker being stuck halfway up the track just after 11am.
She said they had six firefighters, three of those being specialist remote rescue firefighters, aiding the hiker on scene.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said they were called at 10.34am.
He said crews were with the hiker, who was in a stable condition.
SES was also on scene.
Three teens taken to hospital after Bruce Highway rollover
Three teenage boys have been taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a single-vehicle rollover on the Bruce Highway early Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash at the Glasshouse Mountains at the Johnston Rd on-ramp at 5.13am.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman confirmed the vehicle had rolled, and police also attended the scene.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the crash appeared to be an accident, and there were no ongoing investigations.
Paramedics assessed the three teens at the scene before transporting them to hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.
Two injured in separate overnight crashes on the Sunshine Coast
Two people have been hospitalised following separate crashes on the Sunshine Coast.
A vehicle collided with a pole on Bli Bli Road at 2.26am on Saturday morning, with one patient transported to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
Earlier, a motorcyclist suffered a head injury after crashing into a tree at the intersection of Hunchy and Hardings Roads about 6.15pm Friday.
The injured man was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
