A group of teens who allegedly threw a trolley at a car and harassed people near Kawana Shoppingworld and Point Cartwright are being investigated by police.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said reports of a disturbance about 8pm at a Buddina shopping centre were made on Monday night.
“Police patrolled the area but were unable to locate any people involved,” she said.

A woman wrote on a Facebook community board that she saw “two boys and a girl” aged about 14 on a moped “harassing people on buses in the middle of the road”.
Another woman said she saw teenagers throw a trolley towards a vehicle.

“A group of six or so out-of-control teens (were) on a rampage,” she said.
“If you were the car behind me, I saw them hurl a trolley at your car.”

Bus driver Tony Campbell said he observed the teens allegedly having near misses with pedestrians.

“I saw the kids at Kawana shops heading northbound on the southbound side of Nicklin Way outside the Kawana shopping centre,” Mr Campbell said.

“They turned into TimeZone and on the footpath, nearly hitting passengers.

“Then turned around and rode up the footpath near buses just missing passengers.”

He also said he witnessed the teens causing disruptions on the road.

“Then saw them five minutes later in Walan St in the middle of the lane going through red lights on Brisbane Rd with no lights on at 11,” Mr Campbell said.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact police.
This incident comes after police started their Operation Xray Sorcerer, which plans to target areas such as shopping centres, beaches, and bus stops.
There have been multiple other alleged offences in the last two months that sparked the establishment of the operation.
A teen was recently charged with wilful damage after allegedly throwing an object at a bus and breaking a window.
A Meridan Plains party allegedly spun out of control.
