Explosive footage of Sunshine Coast youths carrying on, swearing, and setting off fireworks on street has emerged, with the juveniles being slammed as “idiots”.

A Sunshine Coast social media account shared a video of a group of youths lighting fireworks and throwing them around the street, screaming, yelling and swearing as the dangerous scene unfolds.

The video was posted at the weekend and appears to be along Nicklin Way.

Footage shows the male youths lighting and throwing the fireworks, then screaming as it goes off dangerously close to them.

The video was posted to Instagram with the caption ‘Where’s the respawn point?’.

It has more than 5000 likes and more than 65 comments to date, with Sunshine Coast locals voicing their displeasure.

“That s--t’s not funny man, that’s how my mate legless joe lost his eye,” someone said.

“I would hate to be his childhood pet,” another said.

“Tryna take the boys out,” one said.

“Funny till someone get(s) seriously hurt or someone’s house or business burns down,” another said.

“Getting hit by a firework in all seriousness is debilitating. Permanent burns requiring skin grafts and loss of limbs. They are not toys. You kids need to learn to run fast,” another added.

“Men: why do women live longer that us?” Someone said.

“Idiots,” another said.

“Zero brain cells … bros just aiming that s--t at his boys,” someone commented.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Police Service said they were unaware of the incident.

It is illegal to possess and use fireworks in Queensland without an authority.
