Emergency services were called to Nicklin Way for a second time after a two-vehicle crash at Currimundi.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics attended the crash on the major road about 8.40am.

The nose-to-tail reportedly blocked lanes heading north and one fire crew was helping to make the scene safe.

One person was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition as a result of the crash.

No ages, gender or specific injuries were reported.

It comes after a serious two-vehicle smash just hours earlier at Wurtulla.

Police closed the southbound lanes of Nicklin Way and a man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
