Sunshine Coast rugby league fans flocked to Bokarina for an NRL blockbuster double on the weekend.
A big clash between Roosters and Knights kicked off the weekend’s battles on Friday night with crowds proudly decked out in club colours filling stands.
The Roosters powered to a comfortable victory, toppling the Knights 28-8.
Growing Covid-19 concerns in New South Wales forced all 16 clubs to shift and base themselves in Queensland last week.
As a result, the Roosters v Knights game, which was originally due to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground, was changed to Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Meanwhile, it was business as usual for the Rabbitohs and Warriors game which had always been scheduled on the Coast.
The sea of red and green in the crowd helped the Rabbitohs surge to a convincing win over the Warriors with the scoreline 60-22.
