UPDATE 11AM SUNDAY:
A late-night sighting confirmed by CCTV footage on Saturday night provided a crucial breakthrough in the search for a teen girl missing from Tinbeerwah.
About 30 SES members arrived Sunday morning prepared to scour bushland in a desperate search for the 13-year-old who was last sighted about 3pm on Saturday around the Mackay Court area.
Residents had been asked to search their properties and dog squad officers and the PolAir police helicopter had started searching on Saturday.
Noosa Police officer-in-charge Ryan Hanlon spoke from the scene at Tinbeerwah on Sunday morning saying the young girl had been spotted at a local Woolworths shopping centre on Saturday.
The sighting was confirmed by the girl's parents, which meant the bushland search was postponed about 10am on Sunday.
Police analysed other surrounding CCTV footage and an hour later confirmed the girl had been found safe and well, having initially held serious concerns for the teen's welfare.
However, police did not confirm where the girl was found.
A Queensland Police Service statement released about 11am on Sunday thanked the public for its help, after residents had helped the search overnight.
