A popular Sunshine Coast pilates franchise has restructured after accumulating a six-figure tax debt, documents have revealed.

The company Rejuvenate Pilates Pty Ltd, based in Maroochydore, appointed liquidator Thomas Dawson to restructure the company in September, according to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission documents.

The company previously traded as Oxygen Pilates Pty Ltd and was first registered with the corporate regulator in 2016, according to the documents.

Sunshine Coast man Gavin Smith is currently the sole director of the company, which is described as offering a blend of wellness coaching as well as group reformer pilates classes.

Previous directors Melinda Goodwin and Kerryn Smith ceased their roles in 2023, the documents stated.

The company operates three pilates studios on the Sunshine Coast, with businesses in Cotton Tree, Coolum Beach and Buderim.

According to ASIC documents, the pilates and wellness company accumulated an debt of $137,939 owing to the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation.

The restructuring documents were published last month along with the restructuring plan, which was then adopted by the company in mid-October.

The restructuring has not impacted classes, with bookings still being taken on the company’s website.
