Documents lodged with Sunshine Coast Council show a pre-lodgement meeting was held in April, 2018.

“General support for the land uses was expressed at the meeting and it was suggested the land uses were in line with the intent of the master plan for the village centre,” planning documents read.

About two and a half years has been spent designing the project with developers engaging Push Architects, a firm known for its award-winning work at Sunshine Beach Surf Club.

The proposed hotel will provide a focal point and ‘gateway’ to the township and will create a vibrant and active frontage to the Village Centre Precinct,” planning documents read.
