A campervan was completely destroyed by a well involved fire on a property in a Sunshine Coast residential estate - as fire investigators work to determine the cause.
Dramatic video shows a huge fireball and plumes of black smoke as residents rushed towards the blaze.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said three crews arrived at the scene on Moorhen St, Palmview in the Harmony residential estate on Wednesday afternoon.
The spokeswoman said the blaze was “well involved”.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said an ambulance was called but no one was at the property.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman later said five crews were on scene.
“They left the scene about 2.45pm,” she said.
“Crews were in action protecting nearby structures and had the fire out within 15 minutes.
“The van was completely destroyed by the fire.”
Fire investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.
Lookout evacuated as bushfire breaks out near Bruce Hwy
A Sunshine Coast lookout has been evacuated after a bushfire broke out near the Bruce Highway.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the blaze at Coochin Creek, between Johnston Road, Red Road and the Bruce Highway, in the Beerburrum East State Forest was reported about 3pm.
Four crews have been sent to battle multiple fires and police have evacuated the Wild Horse Mountain Scenic Lookout as a precaution, the spokesman said.
An advice warning was sent out by the Queensland Fire Department at 4.50pm stating there is no immediate danger but conditions could change.
Three-car crash slows traffic to crawl on major motorway
Traffic is crawling on a busy Sunshine Coast motorway following a three-car crash on Melbourne Cup day.
Emergency crews are responding to a three-car crash on the Sunshine Coast Motorway northbound at 10.45am, Tuesday, November 5.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said there was one crew of paramedics on scene assessing four people from the cars.
She said no one was seriously injured and three people had declined being taken to hospital as a precaution.
