Two adorable little toddlers have been crowned the cutest bubs on the Sunshine Coast after readers chose between more than a 100 nominees. Meet the blossoming footy fan and the groovy “blessing boy” who have captured hearts.

Two adorable little bubs have charmed the Sunshine Coast with their little grins in a competition to find the cutest toddlers in the region.

After a week of voting, winners have been decided of the Sunshine Coast Daily’s cutest toddler competition for 2024.

Three-year-old Suni Latu Taufaeteau won the first poll and little 15-month-old Banksii Anthony Mark Nuttall swept up the second win.

Parents Sunia and Drew Taufaeteau were “stoked” to hear their little boy won and thanked everyone who voted for him.

Ms Taufaeteau said she cannot wait to look back and tell Suni Latu about his feat when he is older.

She described her son as kind and “oh so cheeky” with an infectious laugh.

“He’s the type of kid that butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth but make no mistake, we’ve nicknamed him ‘Tsunami’,” Ms Taufaeteau said.

Their little boy loves visits to the beach and skateparks and is “mad” for dirt bikes.

Ms Taufaeteau said Suni Latu is also footy obsessed and is the Yandina Raiders’ biggest fan with his dad playing for the team.

Little Suni Latu follows in his father’s footsteps, going to the markets and to footy training together and even taking out his toy hammer when Mr Taufaeteau fixes up the house.

Ms Taufaeteau said this was one of her favourite things about her little boy.

“They are both Polynesian so Sunia will take Suni along to any big cook ups the Tongans might have or any gatherings - he’s just considered ‘one of the boys’,” Ms Taufaeteau said.

“I think he will grow up to be just like his dad.”

Ms Taufaeteau is convinced Suni Latu will be a “mummy’s boy” as her son seeks cuddles and tells her “me love you mummy” throughout the day.

Banksii’s parents Kiarra Wotton and Chayce Nuttall felt excited when they received news of their son’s win.

Ms Wotton said Banksii is a “little character” with the most cheeky, outgoing and loving personality.

“We love everything about him,” Ms Wotton said.

The 15-month-old loves going to the park, playing on his slide, throwing balls and busting out some dance moves “anytime, anywhere”.

“We still remember the first time he started dancing along to the Wiggles or to any music that was played,” Ms Wotton said.

“He hasn’t stopped since and the moves just keep getting funkier by the day.”

As their first child, Ms Wotton dubbed Banksii their “little blessing boy” and declared the day he was born as the most special of their lives.

“The painful 30+ hour labour was worth every second when we finally got to hold our 4.2kg bundle of joy,” she said.

She expects Banksii to grow up as the most funny and loving boy who will take on a sport.

“He has so much love to give,” she said.

“He’s always on the move and loves to run around.”
