Steve Irwin Way, Glenview fire breaks out near BP service station on Sunday afternoon

Firefighters have battled to contain a large shed fire which broke out not far from a hinterland service station on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters have battled to contain a large shed fire which broke out near a hinterland service station on Sunday afternoon.

Seven crews of fireys were called into action on Steve Irwin Way, Glenview, after a fire broke out in a large shed near the BP at Glenview.

How to ensure a smooth transition to our new site

The 15m x 15m structure was well ablaze after crews were called about 1pm.

By 1.45pm firefighters had managed to bring the fire under control.

Crews were remaining on scene to continue to douse the flames.

No one was understood to have been inside at the time of the fire.

The extent of damage to the shed was still unknown.
