Standard Botanic medicinal cannabis farm faces wind up application

A wind-up application for a Sunshine Coast medicinal cannabis farm has been lodged in the Federal Court.

A Sunshine Coast medicinal cannabis farm faces potential shutdown after a wind-up application was lodged in the Federal Court last month.

The company, Standard Botanic Pty Ltd, which is understood to operate a medicinal cannabis farm on the Sunshine Coast, could soon be wound up after an application was filed.

An Australian Securities and Investments Commission notice stated the company Standard Botanic was set to appear before the Federal Court following a wind-up application made by Oliver Frumar in September.

According to the documents Stephen Katz and Mark Puddenburg became the directors of the company last year, with documents showing prior to that it was operated by Andrew Colley for about a six-month period in 2024.

Buddina man, Adam Benjamin, acted as the director between October 2020 and April 2024 and Christopher James Harris was listed as director between November 2022 and November 2023.

The previous holding company is listed on ASIC documents as Harvest Co Pty Ltd.

The Australian Business Register also shows the company operated a business named Standard Alliance from February 2023.

The matter is expected to appear before the Federal Court on November 7 at 11am.

Attempts to contact both Standard Botanic and Mr Puddenburg have been made by this publication.
